The Politburo

of the Central Committee of the Polish Uni ted Workers Party (abbreviated as the Political Bureau of the Par ty or from the Russian Politburo ) was (together with the Secret ariat of the Central Committee of Communist Party), the main exec utive organ of the Polish United Workers Party. In the up of the usual 9 to 15 members of the Politburo, with full voting rights, and several alternate member of the Politburo, without full voting rights. Modeled on a similar body of the CPSU Central Committee was the actual decision-making center communist authorities. Here sank key policy decisions, and members of the Politburo assigned to supervise the various ministries and departments.
